Democrats have a new attack word for Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, on the campaign trail: "Weird."
"Some of what he and his running mate are saying, well, it's just plain weird," Vice President Kamala Harris said during a campaign event.
"These guys are just weird," Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) said during a rally for Harris' 2024 bid. "But we're not afraid of weird people. We're a little bit creeped out, but we're not afraid."
"What was weird was [Vance] joking about racism today and then talking about Diet Mountain Dew," Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) said. "Who drinks Diet Mountain Dew?"
"It's not just that he said a lot of things that are weird," federal transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg said in an unofficial capacity. "It's that this leads to weird policies."
"It comes out Vance has done something more extreme, more weird," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said.
"Uh, no, not at all," Vance said when Fox News asked whether that hurt him. "It doesn't hurt my feelings."
