While speaking about the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Fox News’ Peter Doocy once again asked what is President Biden’s top issue. Doocy gave two options, either inflation or abortion, and President Biden responded in the same way that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded when asked this same question by Doocy as well - that they are all important. With the Midterms only a few weeks away, there is intense scrutiny on the Democrat’s approach to campaigning, with some critiques that the Democratic Party is relying too heavily on abortion access and not addressing inflation enough in order to keep control of Congress.
DOOCY: “Top domestic issues - inflation or abortion?”
BIDEN: “They’re all important. Unlike you, there's no one thing. It crosses the board. Domestic, ask me about foreign policy too. There's multiple, multiple, multiple issues and they're all important and so and we ought to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. You know? Thank you.”
