Sean McVay on Post-Super Bowl Life & Ukraine Connection

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay joins LZ and Will to talk about how L.A. is treating him now that he's won the big one. He began his career as an assistant wide receivers coach with Tampa Bay under Jon Gruden when he was just 22 (and he gives the hosts an update on his relationship to Gruden, who resigned in scandal last year). McVay then worked his way up the ladder to become the youngest head coach in NFL history (at age 30) when he was hired by the L.A. Rams in 2017. And of course, he’s the youngest head coach ever to win a Super Bowl. McVay also tells the hosts about his personal connection to the war in Ukraine — his fiancé and her family are from the country — which has only strengthened how he counts his blessings. “It gives you a perspective, you know. And what we were able to accomplish was really special,” McVay said about the Super Bowl win. “But it sure pales in comparison to what's going on right now that has really hit our family in a way that I never could have understood,” McVay said.
