“Yell all you want”: Angry voters confront Republican Rep. Rich McCormick at heated town hall in Georgia.

Angry voters confronted Republican Rep. Rich McCormick about the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), presidential power, budget cuts, and Elon Musk at a heated town hall in his Georgia district Thursday night.

Voters repeatedly drowned out McCormick with boos as they grilled him in Roswell, the home of the state’s 7th Congressional District.

“I’ll pause whenever you want and you can go and yell all you want,” McCormick, who was first elected to Congress in 2022, said as people yelled at him. “Yelling at me is not gonna get any answer, okay?”

“What [are] you, congressmen, and your fellow congressmen … going to do to rein in the megalomaniac in the White House?” one voter asked the congressman during the town hall, drawing cheers from the crowd.

“I remember having the same discussion with Republicans when Biden was elected,” McCormick said, prompting boos.

McCormick was not alone in facing unrest from constituents over DOGE — voters also pressed Rep. Cliff Bentz (R-OR) at a town hall on Wednesday in La Grande, Oregon.
