NBA Injuries Are Blowing The Western Conference Wide Open

With less than two months to go until the NBA playoffs, LZ and Will look at the clear frontrunners to win the league’s Western Conference — the Phoenix Suns, who have the best record in the NBA by far; the Golden State Warriors, who can count on “the greatest shooter that has ever picked up a basketball,” in LZ’s words (his name is Steph Curry, and he lit up the NBA All-Star Game with a whopping 50 points); and the Memphis Grizzlies, whose Ja Morant is possibly the league’s MVP. So much depends on which stars are even fit to play. The Suns just lost Chris Paul to a thumb injury for quite possibly the rest of the regular season, and the Warriors are without Draymond Green, who might return in the middle of March. If these players stay sidelined, the conference will stay open, and even LZ’s dear Los Angeles Lakers could have a chance to sneak into contention — presuming, of course, that LeBron James and Anthony Davis are at full strength.
