Live cameras outside courthouse where Rep. George Santos (R-NY) is being arraigned pick up folks talking shit about him.

Representative George Santos, a Republican from New York representing parts of Long Island and Queens, was due in court today to plead on ten counts of conspiracy, wire fraud, identity theft, and credit card fraud, because of allegations that he stole money from donors during his congressional campaign.

Santos, who faces other federal charges and has been accused of ethical breaches due to lies about his background, family, and job, is a controversial figure even among Republicans, who are currently debating a resolution to expel him from the House of Representatives.

Cameras rolling outside the courtroom waiting for him to make an appearance caught chatter from spectators that show his increasing unpopularity. A group of men and women laughed about his weight and his shoes, and sarcastically observed that the Jewish community “must love” the fact that he was wearing an Israel pin.

One spectator summed him up as looking “like a deer in the headlights.”
