"Innocent children have been lost. They make a point": Biden defends pro-Palestinian protester as crowd boos them.

President Joe Biden on Tuesday defended a pro-Palestinian protester as the crowd booed them at a speech that condemned gun violence and pushed for gun control.

"You're complicit in genocide!" the protester yelled, interrupting Biden’s speech at a conference hosted by Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund in Washington, D.C.

The crowd booed in response, then chanted, “Four more years!”

"No, no, no … It's okay. Look, they care. Innocent children have been lost. They make a point,” Biden responded. “C’mon now.”

“Thank you for honoring gun violence survivors!” an audience member shouted.

Biden’s speech, where he touted a list of gun control-related accomplishments during his administration, came hours after his son Hunter was convicted Tuesday of three charges for lying on a federal gun-purchase form in 2018 when he said he was not a drug user.

The president, who has said he loves his son but would also respect the verdict, left for Delaware after the event to be with his son and family. He did not mention his son during his address.
