Sen. Tim Scott on Sunday repeatedly refused to commit to accepting the 2024 presidential election results.

“Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker asked the South Carolina Republican several times whether he would accept the results, regardless of who wins. Scott, who’s reportedly a top contender for Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate, never gave a straight answer.

“At the end of the day, the 47th president of the United States will be President Donald Trump, and I'm excited to give back to low inflation, low unemployment,” Scott said.

Welker: “Senator, yes or no, yes or no, will you accept the election results of 2024 no matter who wins?”

Scott: “That is my statement.”

Welker: “But just yes or no, will you accept the election results of 2024?”

Scott: “I look forward to President Trump being the 47th president. Kristen, you can ask it multiple times. … I'm not going to answer your hypothetical question.”

This comes despite Scott in 2020 voting to certify the election results and Trump's defeat.
