President Joe Biden on Wednesday took a dig at Donald Trump for a failed investment in Foxconn while he touted a new Microsoft AI facility in Racine, Wisconsin.

“[Trump] came here with your senator, Ron Johnson, literally holding a golden shovel, promising to build the eighth wonder of the world. Are you kidding me? Look what happened. They dug a hole with those golden shovels, and then they fell into it,” Biden said during his remarks in the political battleground state.

The Microsoft AI facility in Racine County will be built on the same land where Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn had planned to build a $10 billion factory that Trump once called "the eighth wonder of the world," before Foxconn scaled back its plans.

“One hundred homes were bulldozed. They wasted hundreds of millions of dollars — your state and local tax dollars — to promise a project that never happened,” Biden said. “Foxconn turned out to be just that: a con.”
